2016 Special Olympics Camp Out
Again this year the scout of Troop 102 gave up their weekend to volunteer at the special Olympics. They set up camp on Friday night and got to watch the opening ceremonies and fireworks. On Saturday they served breakfast and bused the tables, put together 2040 lunches in one and a half hours, served and cleaned up dinner for the athletes and then enjoyed a one hour pool time. Saturday night was capped off with Mr. Marzano's famous dough boys perfectly sugared by Tyler Stone. Sunday the boys served breakfast, said their goodbyes and packed up. These scouts should be proud of all they have done for the athletes of the Special Olympics. Every where we went the leaders were constantly complimented on the exceptional job that the scouts did. It was our pleasure to be a part in the 2016 Special Olympics. See you next year.
